How it all began...
As a product design student, I was missing a small bag to go out. I found classic handbags stuffy and boring. So I was looking for an unusual material, combined with a practical shape: For the first time, I reinforced discounter plastic bags with a protective film and transformed them into extravagant handbags.
The bag bag was born in 2003 and thus the name of my label: TüTa.
Since then, the TüTa family has grown. The small bag bag was joined by big siblings: shoulder bags with interchangeable flaps, toiletry bags and backpacks.
I am constantly developing new TüTa shapes, choosing the motifs, being the source of ideas and taking care of one-off productions. Susanne helps with the production. She is a trained industrial seamstress. No one sews the TüTas as carefully and well as they do.
In 2010 I created the flagpole. The Fabeu is a foldable shopper made from recycled flag fabrics. He took first place in the recycling competition "redesign:network award" in Vienna. It is produced in a social institution.
And if I don't design and work? Then I love being with my two kids and my husband, doing yoga, hiking, being in nature, meeting friends and unwinding... until a new idea comes!
