About me

After a 3-year apprenticeship as a wood sculptor, 3 years followed on traditional journeymen across Europe.
In 2010 I finally landed in Freiburg, where I have been living and working with my family ever since.

From an early age I was influenced by the resinous-aromatic scent that my father brought home when he came from his carpentry workshop, where he mainly built furniture from pine wood.

Wood has always inspired me, whether as a material of artistic expression or in the form of a neatly joined piece of furniture. In bow making, design and function are combined in a very special way.

Nach einer 3 Jährigen Ausbildung zum Holzbildhauer folgten 3 Jahre auf traditioneller Gesellenwanderschaft kreuz und quer durch Europa.
Im Jahr 2010 landete ich schließlich in Freiburg, wo ich seitdem mit meiner Familie lebe und arbeite.

Von Klein-auf wurde ich geprägt von dem harzig-aromatischen Duft den mein Vater mit nach Hause brachte, wenn er aus seiner Schreinerwerkstatt kam, wo er überwiegend Möbel aus Kiefernholz baute.

Holz hat mich immer begeistert, sei es als Material des künstlerischen Ausdrucks- oder in Form eines sauber gefügten Möbels. Beim Bogenbau vereinen sich Design und Funktion auf ganz besondere Art und Weise.
