My name is Laura Riekstina, I'm from Latvia. I live in the capital Riga together with my husband and 2 children.
I started my business in 2011 when my son was still an infant. I had sewn a drool cloth for him and then some cloths for my friends' children. Since friends and acquaintances were so enthusiastic about the scarves and wanted to buy them, I decided to offer them on the Internet. In the beginning, I made the drool cloths only for the domestic market in Latvia. Later, through DaWanda.de and Etsy.com, I made my production accessible to the whole world. Now sewing has become a business.
BizBiz is Latvian and means as much as ladybugs. Ladybug is also my logo. Ladybugs like all children, in addition, this beetle is a lucky charm. It's true – he brought me luck and success! The first fabric I bought for the bibs had a ladybug pattern. BizBiz (pronounced like "BisBis" in Latvian ) is short, easy to pronounce and you can remember it well. BizBizBaby was then "invented" for the foreign shops, as "BizBiz" alone says nothing.

I started it in 2011, when my son was born, and have made the first dribble bibs for him. Then I made several bibs for my friends and saw how lucky and satisfied they were. So I started my little business in internet.
In Latvian "BizBiz" means an abbreviation for ladybug. A belief says that a ladybug brings luck, and I believe that. It has brought luck in my business. I'm very happy, that people are excited about my products , order them repeatedly and recommend them to friends. It is important to create the products in good mood with positive thoughts. Then the result always is excellent and the wearer is satisfied. I never make two identical items. I vary the lining color of the bibs, the added ribbons and pendants depending on my feeling about it at that moment.

Ich heiße Laura Riekstina, ich komme aus Lettland. Ich lebe in der Hauptstadt Riga zusammen mit meinem Ehemann und 2 Kindern .
Ich habe mein Gewerbe im Jahr 2011 begonnen, als mein Sohn noch ein Säugling war. Ich hatte ein Sabbertuch für ihn genäht und danach auch einige Tücher für die Kinder meiner Freunde. Da Freunde und Bekannte von den Halstüchern so begeistert waren und sie kaufen wollten, habe ich mich entschlossen, sie im Internet anzubieten. Am Anfang fertigte ich die Sabbertücher nur für den Binnenmarkt in Lettland. Später habe ich durch DaWanda.de und Etsy.com meine Produktion für die ganze Welt erreichbar gemacht. Jetzt ist das Nähen zu einem Business geworden.
BizBiz ist lettisch und bedeutet so viel wie Marienkäfer. Marienkäfer ist auch gleichzeitig mein Logo. Marienkäfer mögen alle Kinder, Außerdem ist dieser Käfer ein Glücksbringer. Es ist wahr – mir hat er Glück und Erfolg gebracht! Der erste Stoff, den ich für die Lätzchen gekauft habe, hatte ein Marienkäfermuster. BizBiz (auf Lettisch - wird wie „BisBis“ ausgesprochen) ist kurz, leicht auszusprechen und man kann sich gut daran erinnern. Für die Ausland-Shops wurde dann BizBizBaby "erfunden", da „BizBiz“ alleine nichts aussagt.
