Über mich

Willkommen bei Craftymama!

Es sind die 4 wichtigsten Dinge in meinem Leben, die mich zu Craftymama inspiriert haben: mein großartiger Mann, meine beiden bezaubernden Jungs, das Stricken und Cashmere.

Das Stricken bestimmte schon immer mein Leben. Meine Oma brachte es mir bei, als ich gerade 8 Jahre jung war. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an, wurde es meine Passion. Ich machte das geliebte Hobby zum Beruf mit einem Abschluss in Strickdesign. Fast 10 Jahre designte ich Strickmode für eines der bekanntesten und luxuriösesten Fashion Labels in Deutschland.

Diese Erfahrungen brachte mich dann zu meiner Liebe, zu Cashmere - die Königin der Wolle. Einmal damit gearbeitet, gab es für mich keinen Weg mehr zurück. Cashmere ist für mich die großartigste Wolle, sowohl zum Verarbeiten als auch Selbertragen.

Mein großer Dank gilt meinem Mann, der es manchmal mit einem permanenten Klick Klack der Stricknadeln und herumliegenden Woll-Enden nicht einfach hat. Ohne seine unentwegte Unterstützung würde ich alles nicht schaffen.

Meine beiden Jungs sind für mich die Krönung eines glücklichen Lebens. Ihre Geburt brachte mein Leben in eine komplett andere Richtung: das Designen von Kinderstrickmode…

..und das ist Craftymama – witzige Cashmere Teile für Babies und Kids, designed und gestrickt mit viel Liebe.

Hello and welcome to craftymama!

If I had to choose four of my favourite things in life they would be my gorgeous fella, my adorable boys, knitting and cashmere, so I am thrilled that all four have happily combined to create craftymama!

It was knitting that came first. My nana taught me to knit aged 8 or 9 and from that point I never looked back. I turned my hobby into a career, gained a degree in knitwear design and spent almost 10 years designing for one of the most luxurious fashion labels in Germany.

The experience of working in such a high-end market introduced me to the qualities of cashmere and it was love at first touch! It really is the most luxurious natural fibre of all, and once you have worked with it and worn it, there really is no going back. No other yarn can compare!

My bloke, well he is the poor soul who has to put up with the constant click-clack of knitting needles and all those ends of yarn lying around the house. It can’t be easy and I couldn’t do it without his support.

And my final love is that for my two adorable boys whose arrival has sent me in a very different direction: knitwear for babies and children.

And so we arrive at craftymama! Fun cashmere for babies and kids, designed and crafted with care and love.

...einfach super! Schade, daß meine Kleine schon läuft und feste Schuhe braucht... aber ich merke es mir trotzdem mal für später!!!

Auch wenn ich leider deine Produkte (zur Zeit) nicht "gebrauchen" kann, muss ich kurz loswerden: dein Profilbild ist der Hammer!!
