Sky Turtle grew up seeing one grandmother sewing and the other crocheting and knitting magical things. She learned the basics from them and everything else from the Great Interwebs (this is why she now posts tutorials on her blog as often as she can).
She also learned a lot from many broken needles and metres and metres of ruined fabric. She's still learning and experimenting with fabric and yarn. Hooray!
