Über mich
My name is Nevenka Sabo but everyone calls me Nena. I live in small town Subotica, on the North-West of Serbia(about 25 km of Serbian-Hungarian border)with my husband and funny schnauzer Barnie.
I have a wild imagination and I've always had a need to create something with my hands. During the years I’ve tried out almost every hobby technique I’ve heard off. I've tried out some classic crafts and handwork learned from my mother and grandmother, too.
I am a self taught polymer clay artist working with polymer clay for two years. I found amazing polymer clay art on internet and got interested. Then I looked for some instructions and for about six months read everything I could find about topic. I was so happy to learn new things and improve my English. Once I've touched polymer clay in 2007 I was totally addicted and it did not change till present day. I’m reading, learning and trying out as much techniques as I can. It is exciting and surprising adventure each time I take FIMO in my hands.
Now I am doing my best to make it my full time job.
Last February extremely talented artist, distinguished teacher and generous-hearted woman Lisa Pavelka honored me by becoming my mentor.
My favorite name, since childhood, was Katherine so I named my jewelry line Katherine jewelry.

Every single piece of jewelry you see here is made by me. I do all the work alone, from conditioning the clay, caning, bead making, sanding, buffing and putting the beads together. I pay a lot of attention to little details and finishes.
I work with love, enthusiasm and generally enjoy every claying moment of my life. I’m truly happy.

Last year I've started a polymer clay blog in Serbian. My goal is to present a polymer clay world to people who doesn't speak foreign languages.
