Almost everything I make starts out with "I wonder..." The challenge of doing something different motivates me. My not-so-secret silliness also pops up a lot.

I taught myself to quilt because I love the look of old quilts and I especially love patterns that create optical illusions, like Tumbling Blocks. However, I get bored with repetition and I've always preferred finding my own way instead of following patterns, so art quilts are a more natural medium for me.

When I'm not writing or sewing, I'm baking, hiking, watching movies, and spending time with my wonderful family. My husband and I wrote Beast Hunters: The Roleplaying Challenge Game.
