Hello, I just had a good look through your store and your work is truly amazing and very unique!
I can't really comment on your prices as I have no idea how much the materials cost or how much time goes into making each piece (although it does look like a LOT of work goes into them). Pricing is really something that you will have to determine up yourself. You need to consider things such as cost of materials, time it takes to design the piece, time it takes to make the piece, how much you would like to pay yourself per hour (for example), these are just some of the things that need to be taken into consideration.
Maybe you could use all the allowed pictures per listing to show the items from different angles etc, so potential customer can get a good idea in their mind about the ratios, dimensions, shape etc.
And you could try adding more tags to your items. Try thinking of anything that someone might type into a search bar when they are looking for something like your products. You could even try adding your location as one of your tags as I know that a lot of customers often want to look for something that is local to them, if they want to save on shipping or need something in a hurry.

Do you have a blog where you write about your work and have a link back to your DaWanda store?
Are you on Flickr where you upload pictures of your work and write about it, then direct people to your profile which will have a link to your DaWanda store?
Are you active in the DaWanda community? Have you joined the DaWanda Shopping Community: http://dawandashopping.ning.com/
Are you on Facebook where you can make yourself a Facebook page about your work, with links back to your DaWanda store?
They are some of the ways you can promote your work, to get more visitors to your store which will hopefully translate into sales :-)
I hope that info is useful :-)

oh a fellow Scots from Glasgow no less!!! Im from Coatbridge!

I had a look at your shop. The items are very unusual and so you will be targeting a very limited market. Personally, i think the pieces are unique but i wouldnt pay that much for them. I know there MUST have been tons of work involved but you'll just need to wait on someone coming along who can appreciate your jewellery for the art that it is. I hope you dont mind my honesty !!!!

Hallo everybody1 I'm new on Dawanda too.. I'm from Italy, so I'm in disadvantage from the beginning because of our Euro... We pay things a lot and we can't sell them at a low price.. Moreover my product is too difficult to be sold and not only for the price.. It really take me too much time to finish the most part of the things I make, but I simply love making them, if I have an idea I must make it come true... I read your suggestions and I found them very useful and I appreciate them. Anyway, since you are so sincere, would you come have a look at my shop and criticize me, give me some advice or simply tell me to close?

Thank you so much!

Giada

Zara: I like your jewels! Yes, they aren't cheap but they are of high level.. I think you will find someone interested to resell them and someone who will buy them too.. Good luck, don't give up! ;)

Your art is very unique and in this case, you need to wait for the right person to take a look and appriciate the work putten into it. Like jolibebe said, I think that you should use the fact that you can put up to 4 photoes from each item and show your jewellery from different angles.
The prices are not cheap but it's because you put a lot of work into it, so you are the only one who can know the right prise for your affort and for the materials, but , again, you will have less costimers, as there are not many peaple who will buy in these prises, only the ones that understand and know to appriciate good art.
I think that you should describe more your products and to explain more about the materials that you use. I dont know if its because my mother lang is not english, but I have no idea what is perspex (I know how it looks according to the photoes but I dont really know what it is) and when I tiped this word on dictionarry it gave me nothing. I also dont know what is unhallmarked silver though myself, I work with silver....
so, I think that when you write the description of the items you need to explain all of these things for peaple to anderstand why your art is so special and why the prices are these prices. They need to appriciate and one or two lines of "dey" information about size is not enough.
Try also to follow the forum and search for peaple who are looking for artists to featured in there blogs. like this you can get some more exposure.
In the forum you can also find some information about different sights that you can promote yourself with them, free.
Hope I helped little bit....
Good luck
Orit.

Use all you pics, with the piece modeled on a person even, some items that are more affordable for the average person perhaps, and less extremely dry descriptions; maybe a little more feeling, a little more passion. When you're trying to sell something from a picture, you've got to try and make the person looking at your item be able to "feel" it. Good luck!

Zara,
I always say that an artist can't be an artist to make money. If you're in it for the money, you're in it for the wrong reason. This is one of the reasons why I sell my art so cheap. I love the idea of someone somewhere else in the world, being able to enjoy my art. Maybe if you lowered some of your prices, maybe add more pictures (like a ring on your finger, or in different lights), and add more to the description. Tell how many hours it took to make & how unique that materials are. I see that some artist name their pieces, which gives them more "feeling". For example, a blue/green ring could have a name to do with the ocean or a mermaid? Describe how the surface of your ring feels and what are the bands like? The more description you use, the more likely people will realize why you charge so much & hopefully buy from you. Good luck!

Hi Zara, first of all, I really like your stuff. It is unique and usually exactly the sort of jewelry I would buy. But, not at these prices. You are obviously a trained jewelry designer, not a "bored housewife playing around with some plastic beads" and therefore you want to make money with it. I hope you'll find a way to produce a more commercial range, because then I will definitely consider buying from you. And I agree to what others said: use more pictures and make your description more elaborate.
All the best,
Sabine
