Questions > Need some help determining ...
trutdelamode 01.07.2008 13:26I've made a couple of charmbracelets for little girls, but I've got a bit of a problem with the lenght of them. I've had some help from the internet and a couple of girls living down the street, but I need more help. Right now they're adjustable from about 13 cm up to 17 cm, and I'm hoping some of you have 8 - 12 year olds (and up) running around and would be willing to tell me their wrist-sizes.
SarasTextureCrafts 02.07.2008 09:18I can't help with actual measuring... but if you type in 'children's wrist sizes' to google (which I'm sure you have done) there are a few information pages that come up with size charts... not sure how relevant they are to what you are doing, but they may be a good starting point?
trutdelamode 02.07.2008 10:45I already did that, that's how I came up with the 13 - 17 cm, but the thng is, that according to most sites children that are about 10 years old wear 16 cm bracelets.......my own wrist is 15 cm so I actually fit those and somehow that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I just have the feeling I need to make them a bit smaller....
thanks for the help though
knitsbyknittinmama 02.07.2008 17:52My 7 year old is 13 cm and 12 year old is 15 cm. Hope this helps, I'm always seeking other kids to help with my hat sizing too:)
trutdelamode 02.07.2008 20:02Thank you :D So it looks like the 13 cm might be a bit too much, but the 17 cm will fit perfectly :)
Bijunea 02.07.2008 20:29I dont have 8-12 years but my wrist size is 14 cm (I have small wrists thats why I always wear bracelets). My point is it kind of depends on from kid to kid. =P
