elizabeth 11.12.2008 16:10Hi everyone,
At the moment, the new listing fee structure is currently being launched on the German interface of DaWanda. The date for launching the new fee structure on the English interface of DaWanda is not set yet, we can just tell you that it will be at some point eventually next year, and we will give you at least one month’s notice.
In the meantime, we would still like to explain what is going to happen. This is the current plan, please note that some small changes may be made by the time this rolls out on the English site, and we will make sure that everybody is informed.
Some people have wondered why certain features are available on the German interface of DaWanda before they are on the English side. At the moment this is how our system works because our development team is German and so everything needs to be translated and tested, which takes time. The way the site has developed means that there is more traffic on the DE site of DaWanda, so in the case of Lögenplatz for example (the featured spots on the front page and in categories), we are able to guarantee a good value promotion package for a featured spot. When we know that we can offer the same value to those of you taking part on the English site, we will put it in place for you.***
For the last two years it has been free to list your items on DaWanda as we did not charge any listing fees. As we have explained, this was not an offer for an unlimited period of time, we indicated from the outset that we would introduce listing fees at some point.
Listing fees depend on the number of items listed – whether you have multiple listings, or several of the same item available in one listing and the price of your items.
Here are the standard fees (all including VAT):
Items up to value 10.00 EUR cost 0.10 EUR per item listed
Items of value 10.01 EUR - 20.00 EUR cost 0.20 EUR per item listed
Items of value 20.01 EUR and above cost 0.30 EUR per item listed
Listings are now running on a limited time of 120 days, starting on the day of listing.
As a special offer, you will be able to reserve your items to be listed under the new fee structure ONE MONTH BEFORE the official begin date. There are two advantages if you do this:
i) Listing fees are half price if you reserve your items in advance during this reservation month (so, for example you would pay 0.05 EUR for each item you list in the 10.00 EUR price category for the 120 day listing period).
ii) Items will appear in the categories in the order of reservations.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
In order for our system to adjust to this new fee structure, all listings created up until the last day of the reservation month booking period will be deactivated. So then how will it work?
i) All items reserved to be listed under the new fee structure will be automatically activated as new listings (in order of date reserved) and will cost 50% less than the usual listing price.
ii) Any items which have not been reserved to be listed under the new fee structure can be activated at any time by you. Once the reservation month is over, your listings will cost the full price.
If you book your listings to take part in the new fee structure, you can cancel your reservation at any time during the reservation month, up until the day before the new structure begins. If an item which is reserved under the new fee structure is sold before this start date, you do not pay listing fees for it.
You will be able to reserve your listings ONE MONTH before the start date of this new fee structure. We will send out an email in plenty of time to each seller on DaWanda to inform you of the date.
Lightbluerose 11.12.2008 16:37I can only speak for myself of course, but I am ok with that, I think those are quite reasonable fees.
BeauMonde 11.12.2008 21:41Will the commission of 5% on sold items remain the same?
Will listing fees be refunded for non-paid orders?
Other than those two questions, it all seems clear and reasonable to me. Thanks Elizabeth for keeping us up to date :)
JoliBebe 11.12.2008 22:36Thanks so much for all of this information Elizabeth. It's much appreciated :-)
I'll keep checking back to see the answer to BeauMonde's questions as I am wondering the same thing :-)
lilyhandmade 12.12.2008 07:48Me too! BeauMonde's questions will be the same as I would like to ask also. Or else, the rest I can accept.
elizabeth 12.12.2008 11:37hi everyone,
The commission fee on DaWanda is 5% on sold items and will remain the same.
Yes you will be refunded listing fees in the case of a non-paying buyer.
Tizzalicious 12.12.2008 20:33What happens if you are registered on the English site, but also have listings translated to German? Will those listings have to be paid for too?
AnitasBags 12.12.2008 23:05I was wondering the same, will our listings still show up on the german site if we list them in german as well?
HuayruroPeru 13.12.2008 04:52Hi I List in German too will I have to pay fees?
Florcita 13.12.2008 10:15I suppose then we will get notice of when this is instated, to be ble to use that reservation month... Will there also be paid spots in the front page?
Florcita 13.12.2008 10:16Sorry, I clicked post way too soon.
How will we get billed? monthly, weekly, billed on the spot?

elizabeth 15.12.2008 14:18hi everyone, thanks for your questions.
At the moment there are no fees for listing in multiple languages, but this may change in the future.
Listing fees will not be backdated. Once the listing fees are launched for the EN platform of DaWanda, you are billed in the same month that you list. For example, if you list an item in January, it will appear on your January bill.
soumoss 15.12.2008 16:08Hello, I have all my items listed in the three platforms, when I entered today to check the shop, I realized I have this new procedure, but I don't know if I have to select the items now or I have to wait.
Please! help!Thanks
Anabel
elizabeth 15.12.2008 18:14hi soumoss,
Sellers registered on the EN platform will see the notice about the cost of listings, but you will see that it indicates zero Euros at the moment. This will change when the listings are launched for the English platform and you will then see how much your listings are going to cost.
kissthefrog 15.12.2008 18:43Hi I just show an invoice option in my shop
and when I opened it I realized that you are charging 5% commition
plus 19% tax is that correct ?
lilyhandmade 16.12.2008 16:33Hi,
Is the 19% tax applicable to international sellers whom are not staying either in Germany or any part of Europe?
Please advise.

elizabeth 16.12.2008 16:5719% VAT is included in your comission and listing fees. VAT is a tax which you can claim back as a professional seller in the EU. (only applicable to sellers in the EU).
VAT is only applicable to your business if you are Professional, not Private. If you are a professional seller you must have a VAT number - but it is optional if you decide to fill it into your DaWanda invoice admin. We offer this to you so that it's easier for you to manage your accounts.
If you run a business and you hold a VAT reg. number for the EU, (but your business location is NOT in Germany) you can receive the net (after tax) calculations of your fees on DaWanda. By filling in your VAT Reg. No., you have the option to order a "Net" invoice which will indicate exactly how much VAT you have paid, which you can then claim back.
It is voluntary to fill in your VAT number. Making sure that the VAT number is correctly filled in is completely your responsibilty. If you leave the field empty, you will only recieve the gross calculations (pre-tax) of your fees on DaWanda.
If you are not sure whether you are a Private or Professional seller, you should consult a legal advisor - DaWanda cannot give you advice on this issue.
PaolaZakimi 16.12.2008 18:02hi Elizabeth, i´m still dont see the 0,0 fees...
