In 2009 I opened my first shop with five Artikeln.Es were a children's stool, an oriental tray, three jewelry boxes - all made of wood, refurbished, hand-painted.
Since then I have gained a lot of experience in the field of restoration of small furniture. I buy my "treasures" at flea markets or privately, much is forgotten and dusty in some corner of the attic, in the basement or garage and tells its story in silence. My gaze has sharpened for lost, "worthless" objects. If you take your time and look under the dust layer, you sometimes make amazing discoveries and often bring beautiful things to light.
In addition, I learned to "make boxes" at a bookbinding workshop, developed it further for myself and, above all, discovered the fascination of beautiful papers and patterns. Both - old furniture and valuable papers, patterns, ornaments - can be combined great. Usually there is a wonderfully matching paper or a color for the look of the exposed wood surface, a pattern that underlines the charisma of the old piece.

Im Jahr 2009 eröffnete ich meinen ersten Shop mit fünf Artikeln.Es waren ein Kinderhocker, ein orientalisches Tablett, drei Schmuckkästchen - allesamt aus Holz, aufgearbeitet, handbemalt.
Seither habe ich viel Erfahrung gesammelt im Bereich Restauration von Kleinmöbeln. Meine "Schätze" kaufe ich auf Trödelmärkten oder privat, vieles steht vergessen und verstaubt in irgendeiner Ecke des Dachbodens, in Keller oder Garage und erzählt seine Geschichte im Stillen. Mein Blick hat sich geschärft für verlorene, "wertlose" Gegenstände. Nimmt man sich Zeit und schaut unter die Staubschicht macht man mitunter erstaunliche Entdeckungen und fördert oft sehenswert Schönes zutage.
Außerdem habe ich bei einem Buchbinder-Workshop das "Schachteln machen" erlernt, für mich weiter entwickelt und vor allem die Faszination schöner Papiere und Muster entdeckt. Beides - alte Möbel und wertvolle Papiere, Muster, Ornamente - lassen sich toll kombinieren. Meist gibt es zur Optik der freigelegten Holzoberfläche ein ganz wunderbar passendes Papier oder eine Farbe, ein Muster, die die Ausstrahlung des alten Stückes unterstreichen.
