50g of Purple, approximately 2m long.
Hand dyed Shetland tops. Great for needle felting and traditional wet felting, Shetland wool felts as quickly and as well as Merino. As a spinning fibre it produces a soft yarn which is ideal for making hats, scarves and baby woollies because its so soft. Produced in the UK.

Dyed in small batches in my studio using dyes which have minimum impact on the environment . After dyeing the wool it is washed in ecover laundry liquid and dried naturally.
All my fibres come from a smoke free home and are stored in plastic boxes with lids until they are posted to customers. There may be some colour difference between the digital photograph and the actual wool although I have carefully chosen the photograph that shows the truest colour of the wool. If you are wishing to match the wool to something else I can send a small sample in the post for 30p (UK only).

Staple Length 100mm
Micron Count 24-29
Characteristics soft and silky handle ideal for felting and spinning. I spin Shetland tops either extremely finely to produce a lace weight yarn for Shetland shawls or I use a short draw method to get a bulky light weight yarn for soft warm jumpers, hats and mittens.
Felting time approx 16 minutes.
