Please allow me to present to you my interpretation of the matryoshka russian doll !

I have always adored them and was longing to make my own, maybe due to my russian roots - my grandma from my father's side :)))

Each one of them is unique and comes with a signed certificate. The face is hand painted on cotton. Every doll has got its own character and personality :)

Their height is 9 inches (23 cm) and they are 6 inches (15 cm) wide. They are soft and charming, filled with polyfil and can be hung by their satin loop, displayed on a shelf, hugged and loved, welcomed with smiles when offered as a present...

This particular one is made with christmas cotton prints and red wool felt. This babushka is sleeping quitely, you get a sense of tranquility just by looking at her. The dangling earrings add movement and a touch of elegance, there is also a metalic multicoloured bell which makes a happy sound :)
